President's Letter

The Pacific Seed Association is pleased to announce that its annual convention will take place Tuesday to Friday, May 5-9, 2008 on the Oregon Coasts’s premier resort Salishan. Registration forms for the convention and golf, and the agenda are enclosed for your use. Telephone 1-800-452-2300 or 1-888 Salishan for rooms. The association room block ends on April 6th. After that rooms will be first-come, first served and may have a higher price, so you are urged to get your reservations in immediately. There will be three speakers during the event. One is yet to be announced. Bill Stephens of Oregon State University, will discuss honey and bumble bees and how important they are for pollination. Larry Cable will discuss the biofuel industry in the Northwest. There will be a full complement of committee meetings during the convention as well as several social functions and golf. On Wednesday
May 7th the delegates and their spouses will be treated to a special
reception hosted by past president Steve Tubbs and his wife Jerri,
TMI. It will be held at their ocean front home in Lincoln City.
Members will be bused from Salishan to their home and will enjoy
On Tuesday
night there will be a welcoming reception at Salishan. Meetings
will take place mostly on Wednesday. Thursday will feature a brief
meeting in the morning , golf at 10:30 a.m. and the annual banquet
in the evening with awards and a special fund raising event. The
meeting will close Friday morning with a breakfast session. Register now and enjoy the beautiful Oregon coast.
