After experiencing a very dry fall, Northeast Oregon finally received some much-needed moisture in December. This, combined with the mild conditions, has led to an improvement in crop conditions. As a result, we may be looking at the potential for a near-average crop for 2025.
Kentucky Bluegrass:
The acreage for Kentucky Bluegrass in 2025 will remain static compared to 2024. This is about 50% of the Bluegrass acres we harvested in 2021 and 2022.
Fine-Fescue:
For fine-fescue, we are expecting a decrease of about 10% in acreage for 2025.
Overall, the recent weather improvements have given us hope for a better crop year ahead. Stay tuned for more updates as the season progresses!
