PSA Educational March Quarterly Lunch Meeting

You are all invited to join us on Zoom for the PSA Educational Quarterly Lunch Meeting.  The PSA board members in partnership with the PSA Communications Committee voted to provide a series of educational programs for PSA members.  Our plans continue with the quarterly lunch meeting from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm (pacific time) on the last Wednesday of each quarter featuring speakers on various topics to enhance our educational outreach program to benefit all members.  These quarterly meetings are complimentary to all members. 

The second quarter meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27th from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm (pacific time) and our featured speakers will be Janae Brady, ASTA and Grant Baglietto, Baglietto Seed Co., President of PSA.  

Janae will provide members with an update on the Farm Bill and Grant will give a demonstration on ChatGPT.  

ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer) is a chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched in 2022. Based on a large language model, it enables users to refine and steer a conversation towards a desired length, format, style, level of detail, and language.

Janae Brady Vice President, Government Affairs

Janae Brady joined the ASTA team in 2020. Brady served as staff for Chairman Pat Roberts (R-Kansas) on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry during his time as both Chairman and Ranking Member. Most recently as Senior Professional Staff, she advised the Chairman on policy issues including international trade, agricultural research, biotechnology, crop protection and agricultural defense. Brady successfully led negotiations on the trade and research titles during Senate and Conference consideration of the 2018 Farm Bill. Additionally, Brady represented the Chairman during the consultation process for multiple international trade negotiations, including the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

Grant Baglietto General Manager, Baglietto Seeds

Experienced business professional with a demonstrated history of working in a business management role. Broad range of skills from field seed production and operations management to accounting and computer programming. Strong management background with a BS in Finance, from Sacramento State College of Business Administration. Never afraid to wear a new hat, always seeking improvement.
