Pacific Seed Association Announces Partnership with Kushner Consulting, LLC

The Pacific Seed Association has entered a new management partnership with Kushner Consulting, LLC, strengthening its executive leadership and association management support as PSA builds on a century of service to the western seed industry.


Effective August 1, 2026, Kushner Consulting will provide executive leadership and association management services to the Pacific Seed Association (PSA). The partnership reflects PSA’s ongoing commitment to increasing member value, strengthening industry representation, and supporting the evolving needs of the seed industry.

Stuart Kushner, CAE, will serve as Executive Director of the Pacific Seed Association. Stuart brings extensive experience in association management, strategic planning, governance, and member engagement. He will work alongside the PSA Board of Directors and members to advance the Association’s programs, industry engagement, and long-term impact.


“I am honored to join PSA at such an exciting time in its history, as it enters its second century,” said Stuart Kushner. “PSA has a strong foundation, an engaged membership, and an important role to play in advancing the seed industry. I am excited to work alongside the Board of Directors and our members to grow the association, expand its impact, and help position PSA for its next chapter as a leading voice for the industry.”

Gary Kushner will serve as Senior Advisor. With decades of legal and association-industry experience, including nearly 40 years as General Counsel for the American Seed Trade Association, Gary brings deep knowledge of the seed industry and the challenges and opportunities facing PSA members.


“I am excited to continue working with the seed industry in this new capacity,” said Gary Kushner. “I enjoyed a very rewarding relationship with the industry while serving as ASTA’s General Counsel for almost 40 years. PSA is full of wonderful people who make this industry so special, and its mission is inspiring.”


Building on a strong foundation


PSA President Freya Jensen welcomed the partnership and the opportunities it creates for the organization and its members.


“The Pacific Seed Association has served the western seed industry well for the past 100 years,” Jensen said. “Driven by a commitment to increasing the value we contribute to the western seed industry while maintaining our solid foundation, PSA is entering an exciting new era. Stu and Gary Kushner have an abiding affection for the seed industry. They also possess the dedication, experience, and skills required to support us with our goal of enhancing the value we provide to our members and the industry at large. I am very much looking forward to working with them both.”


Looking ahead

The PSA Board has worked closely to support a seamless transition and minimize disruption to the programs, communications, and services members rely on.


Additional information about upcoming programs, events, initiatives, and updated contact details will be shared with members in the coming months. PSA’s annual convention will take place in February 2027; convention information will be posted on the PSA website as it becomes available.
