GS3 Quality Seed, a second-generation wholesale cover crop and forage seed company, has joined the Pacific Seed Association as a new member. Owned by Garth and Suan Mulkey and operated by their daughter Dayna Paratore, this family business emphasizes integrity and high standards in seed production and business practices.
Family Roots in Farming
Located at 13535 De Armond Rd in Monmouth, Oregon, GS3 stems from a fourth-generation family farm in the Willamette Valley. The Mulkey family has farmed the same land since 1966, pioneering no-till practices and cover cropping to enhance soil health. As farmers first, they deeply understand the challenges faced by growers and customers alike.
Key Products Offered
GS3 specializes in premium cover crops and forages, including NitroRadish, KB Supreme Annual Ryegrass, KB Crown Annual Ryegrass, SuperBee Phacelia, and TNT Hairy Vetch. These products support soil improvement, nutrient storage, and sustainable agriculture. Additional options like Austrian Winter Peas, Purple Top Turnip, and Crimson Clover are available upon request.
Social Media Success
About a year ago, GS3 launched @GS3seedfarm on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, rapidly growing to over 150k followers. This platform connects them with the agriculture community, sharing their story with a global audience new to farming. Their content highlights family operations and innovative practices.
Looking Ahead with PSA
GS3 is excited for PSA's networking opportunities, already knowing several members and eager to build more connections. PSA, representing seed companies in the Western U.S., Canada, and Mexico, welcomes active members like GS3 who uphold high ethics and engage in seed distribution.
